Gajar ka Halwa Recipe Yummy Indian Dessert – Must try

Hey guys as the holidays are approaching and it is festive season i thought of writing a very yummy and one of my favorite Indian dessert which can be made in no time and its very simple and easy. This recipe i learnt it from my dear friend Priya…ok lets start

Ingredients you need:

  • 5 Cashews nicely chopped
  • 10 to 15 Raisins
  • 4 to 5 tpsn Ghee
  • 4 to 5 tender Carrots or Gajar
  • 2 cup of Sugar
  • 2 cup of whole milk
  • Ilaichi Powder for flavor

METHOD:

  1.  First take thick kadai preferably nonstick Add 5 tspn of Ghee then fry chopped cashews and raisins

2.Then add shredded carrots in to the kadai mix them well and cook until carrots turn in to dark brown or until you feel like carrots are cooked perfectly

3.Now add 2 cups of sugar in to it, if like your dessert to be more sweet you can add 2 and 1/2 cup also now mix well, as soon as you add sugar its starts to leave water so cook it for 10 minutes or until all water get absorbed

4.Then add 2 cups of whole milk you can even add condensed milk for richness then cook it till all milk gets dissolved in to halwa

5.At last put ilaichi powder on top and mix well

6.Now your tasty Gajar ka halwa is ready.

7.You can eat it as hot or keep it in fridge for sometime and eat it

8.Combine it with vanilla ice cream and serve it will taste heavenly.
